The 2023 auction will be conducted by a woman for the first time in the history of the Ring: Dr Sonja Christ-Brendemühl is already known to many wine enthusiasts: born in Mosel, she was German Wine Queen in 2009. Since then, she has been constantly travelling the wine world as a presenter, speaker and wine expert. Her main job is as a professor of public relations at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.
"I am very much looking forward to the new task as auctioneer for the Bernkasteler Ring and will present the wines in the best possible way to achieve good bids in the interests of the winegrowers and express appreciation for their work and the quality of their wines".
