The former Prussian estate from 1898 with its listed chateau character towering high above the Saar is the first winery on the Saar (wine-growing region: MOSEL). From 1898 to 1904, Baron von Schorlemer zu Lieser and Maria Puricelli built a castle-like winery building and manager's apartment in the neo-Renaissance style at the entrance to the mountain. The couple's home was Lieser Castle on the Moselle. In March 1898, the first vine in the new facility was planted by Mrs. Puricelli herself. In the years that followed, the plots in the Würtzberg and Herrenberg vineyards were diligently expanded. Then, as now, the two large sites are the sole property of the winery. Today the siblings Felix and Annalena Heimes run the family business together. Felix (25 years old) studied in Geisenheim and has been fully operational since 2018.

Annalena has been at Felix's side since summer 2020. The winery with its over 32 hectares of park, 12 hectares of steep slopes, meadows, forest and courtyard is a listed building. The most important locations are the Ockfener Bockstein, Serriger Herrenberg & Serriger Würtzberg. The oldest Burgundy complexes on the Saar can even be found in Serriger Herrenberg and Serriger Würtzberg.

The work in the vineyards & the harvest is done 100% by hand. After the grapes pass through a sorting table, Riesling, Rosé, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Blanc de Noir and Auxerrois are spontaneously fermented in the two-story vaulted cellar. Traditional double barrels and stainless steel tanks are used to develop the Saar wines. The development of the vineyard wines is based on a plot map from 1904. The wines from the monopoly vineyards are developed separately based on the individual plots, as each plot has unique characteristics.

A very good overall performance"; Feinschmecker writes: "We are sure that we will hear more about this winery!
