A traditional wine estate on the river Saar, our business is the production of mineral gentle typical Saar Riesling and the manufacture of highly prized vintage sparkling wines. REVERCHON can look back at a long history. During the period of secularisation the estate was transferred into private ownership in 1685, in 1921 the Huguenot Banking dynasty Reverchon acquired the property and made it one of the foremost producers on the Saar. Businessman Hans Maret acquired the estate in 2007 and continues to manage it as a traditional Saar estate with an open mind for innovative ideas.

REVERCHON owns the monopoly of the Filzener Herrenberg as well as holdings at the Filzener Pulchen, Ockfener Bockstein and parcels in Konz and Wiltingen, which provide the perfect foundation for the production of great Saar wines and sparkling wines. Employing natural sedimentation and controlled fermentation with ambient yeasts results in an optimal preservation of fruit aromas, site individuality and freshness. The estate wines are bottled in March, following an extended time on the yeast, the wines from named sites are given until June before they are bottled.

Environmentally sustainable cultivation of our vineyards is very important to us. A late harvest with several picking stages as well as a high proportion of old, often ungrafted vines give our wines plenty of substance and complexity, always light in alcohol and with great vibrancy, never lacking depth, simply providing great drinking pleasure.

For some time now the estate has become a leading force in the production of sparkling wines, and their quality cannot be faulted.
