“One of the best Riesling makers” wrote the local paper Trierer Volksfreund, when, after a tasting of 1,412 wines from Europe, America and Australia, we were the only estate from the Mosel to be awarded the distinction “Best of Riesling” by the 114 members of the jury.

This makes us very proud. It is confirmation that we are on the right track with our quality philosophy: to offer outstanding wines, in which we invest maximum endeavour, at reasonable prices. The secret of success is a surprisingly simple one: we are in love with Riesling!

Patrick Philipps got off to a flying start with his wines from the 2012 vintage. As many as half of the fourteen wines he entered for tasting achieved between 88 and 90 points. That’s enough reason for us to raise a glass of his noble and immensely fruity Spätlese “Alte Reben” (Old Vines) from the Domprobst to toast his breakthrough to the next level.
