Wine estate Peter Neu-Erben

Reduced yields, controlled slow fermentation and minimal filtration are fundamental elements of our philosophy, which result in wines that reflect the character of our sites and retain the full spiciness and aromas of our grapes. This is how we achieve wholesome wines with fine fruit, excellent aging potential and of benefit to your health if enjoyed in moderation.

We look back with pride at over 250 years of winegrowing history. The family of the present owners Alexander Neu and his father Helmut Neu go about their work on the steep slopes of the Saar Valley with great passion and enjoyment. Work in the cellar is also carried out with great respect for tradition, but nevertheless with an open mind for technical innovation too, a philosophy which leads to the creation of racy Riesling wines with linear structure and profound fruit. Our estate label was designed and chosen by great-grandfather and founder Peter Neu in honour of the holy St. Martin, name patron of the historic church (Saar cathedral) directly opposite the estate.

The wine estate Peter Neu-Erben has been awarded numerous medals by the Chamber of Commerce of the state of Rheinland-Pfalz and is a member of Moselwein e.V. and the Saar-Obermosel tourist organisation.
