Wine estate Markus Molitor

At the tender age of 20 Markus Molitor took charge of our estate, which with its 100 ha of vineyard today represents one of the largest family-owned estates of the Mosel. Uncompromising, precise quality craftsmanship – coupled with total respect for nature – are the guiding principle in all our activities in the vineyard and in the cellar. In keeping with the philosophy of natural winegrowing, site-specific individuality, complexity and aging potential, all our wines are fermented with ambient yeasts and without addition of any fining agents or enzymes.

Eichelmann 2012: wine estate of the year - best noble sweet collection

„Does one have to be crazy to produce 10 Trockenbeerenauslesen in one vintage? In the most positive sense of the word Markus Molitor is obsessed, always striving to make his wines better and better.“

Gault Millau, 4 grapes

„The slick “Schiefersteil” is an estate wine par excellence. The dry top wines show mineral structure and length. Here our coup de Coeur goes to the juicy and elgant Saar “Alte Reben (…).“

Eichelmann 2013

„The noble sweet part of the collection was once again magnificent in 2010, a vintage with 10 Trockenbeerenauslesen, as well as Beerenauslesen, ice wines, 2 and 3-star Auslesen, every single wine outstandingly pure!“
