The wines of our winery come from our own vineyards in the wine villages of Neumagen, Dhron and Piesport. We have been running the winery there as a family business for many generations, under the name Goerg for 145 years, since my great-great-grandfather came to Neumagen as a teacher and married the winery's daughter Margarethe Wintrich in 1855. Over 90% of our vineyards are planted with Riesling vines, the rest with Müller-Thurgau and, for a few years now, with Pinot Noir, so that we have also been able to offer red wine since last year. However, our specialty is and remains our Riesling wines from the world-famous Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Piesporter Domherr, Neumagener Engelgrube, Neumagener Rosengärtchen and Dhroner Hofberger vineyards. These vineyards, together with a traditional and gentle vinification technique in the cellar, guarantee fruity wines with an unrivaled variability of taste due to the Riesling grape. Only single-vineyard wines from our own vineyards are vinified without blending with other grape varieties, which mature in the world-famous vineyards.

We have found confirmation of the quality of our wines in various awards and prizes of honor as well as in various publications, which also highlight the excellent price-performance ratio. Our greatest joy and satisfaction, however, is our loyal customer base.
