The Leo Fuchs winery is one of the oldest and most traditional wineries on the Moselle with 11 hectares of vineyards in the best locations on the longest southern slope between Pommern and Klotten. It has been family-owned since 1624. "This winegrowing tradition is both an obligation and an incentive for me and a real affair of the heart," says Ulrich Fuchs, who took over the quality winery from his father Bruno in 2015.

"I want to make the slate and the soil unmistakably tasty and produce wines with character that are a pleasure to drink," is the philosophy of thoroughbred winemaker Ulrich. Incidentally, the name of the winery goes back to Grandpa Leo Fuchs - in recognition of his work and the demand for the highest quality.

With deep respect for the soil, the good ground on which his vines stand, he consciously and sustainably cultivates his vineyards and makes good things a pleasure. Year after year, this results in wines and sparkling wines with strong character, from Riesling to Rosé, which stand for where they come from with their fine fruit and mineral slate spice: for good grounds.

Today, the name LEO FUCHS stands for drinking pleasure of the highest quality. It is not without reason that the Leo Fuchs quality winery has regularly won high awards at wine awards and competitions for years and is recommended by the most important wine guides such as Gault&Millau, Vinum, Der Feinschmecker and Falstaff. Come and see for yourself!

I want to bring out the best of slate and terroir in wines with an unmistakable identity.
Ulrich Fuchs
