Der Ring -
40 wineries, one vision

Our vision is to further promote the appreciation of our wines by consistently striving for quality while observing natural and near-natural cultivation and vinification, to preserve our unique wine-growing landscape as the basis of our existence and to support the winegrowers of future generations on their way to the top.

Weinberge

We are DER RING.

Our community is characterized by small and medium-sized family wineries with a down-to-earth approach, which keep an eye on everything from grape production to winemaking and marketing. DER RING stands for a quality promise at eye level, which is strongly characterized by collegial exchange and knowledge transfer between members and generations. Despite the common pursuit of quality, each winery has retained its individuality and signature.

As the oldest wine auction company in Germany, the natural cultivation of our vineyards on the steep slopes that characterize the Moselle, Saar and Ruwer, including the steepest vineyard in Europe, the Bremmer Calmont with a 68% gradient, is still the most important basis for the quality of our estate bottlings and at the same time a significant contribution to the preservation of the over 2000-year-old, charming cultural landscape in which we live and work.

With heart, hand and deepest conviction, we cultivate an above-average proportion of Riesling on the slate-dominated soils, some vineyards even 100 percent. However, we are also increasingly committed to Pinot Noir. That is why our best dry wines may only bear the GG label if they come from recognized Riesling or Pinot Noir vineyards and pass a strict quality control.

DER RING stands for distinctive, delicate and mineral wines from the Moselle, Saar and Ruwer. Wines with charisma - to be discovered in our RING wineries and at our RING presentations and events.
